my stupid creativity

Howdy guys!!! it's been a long time I haven't update this blog....*slap my laziness >_<
well...today at last I can rest after moving to my new room which is bloody hot though it has 2 big window but no cool wind blowing in instead I got hot wind sigh.....
so....since I can't bear the hot (though I already turn on 3 fans)...I decided to cut my hair.....by myself <= the most crazy thing I ever done so far LOL

my hair look like this now

 

I called this "stair" style cos it looks like stair....rofl....(for Japan lover, you notice that this style is the hair style of Japan female in ancient time)

I want this style since high school but every times I ask the stylish to cut my hair like this, they said "oh my, but that style isn't good. let me cut your hair to current trend".......-_- I don't want to follow the trend...sigh

anyway, it a lil bit mess since I couldn't see the back side.....so I just cut it based on my instinct hha XD ( I wish we can take off our head from body like mannequin so I can cut it nicely)

well at least I feel cooler than before :p

just another doodle to warm up my painting mood......
somehow I feel duller -_-a

anyway, I think line painting isn't my style.....I never success in making the line smooth, ugh >_<

the worst month of my life T^T

for some who following me perhaps realize that I'm not posting anything recently...
well bad news, super duper bad....I broke my harddisk *cries T^T
I just moved back from Jogjakarta to Jakarta, took along my CPU....since I'm afraid the CPU would be stolen ( I took cheap flight), I took off the HD and put it on my bag...
too bad, I drop my bag accidentally TWICE on airport....(the bag strap suddenly loose but not broken, till I'm typing this post, I still can't figure out how the strap can be loose twice -_-|||)

when I got home safely, I put it back to my CPU and turn it on....
everything just fine...... I checked my mail, commented some post on my FB, chat on YM....then suddenly the computer just hang...-_-a
I restarted it but then it would not load the OS!!!!! *cries again
my computer cannot detect the HD!!! *another cries

My bro just bring it to service center today, and they didn't know how to fix it...
they said he can claim the guarantee but will completely lose the data in it *bang my head

the very very worst thing is I didn't have any single backup data of my arts and works!!!!! *shot self
the very stupid me!!!! all of my works for 9 years!!!!
I used to back it up on my xternal HD but when I moved to Jogja, my brother insisted me to leave the anime, movie, games... whatever entertainment I had to that xternal HD.
so I copied all of the fun stuff to the xternal HD from my main HD and discard the backup data *another shot myself
when I left, I though "well, this is a new HD, there's no way it could be broken so fast..... after all I'm gonna buy a new pocket xternal HD soon" <= stupid though, never ever do the same thing like this!!!

now to recover the data in it, I have to pay a very expensive fee....expensive enough that you can buy another 8-9 new 1Tb HD with it T^T (& yeah I can't afford it, not with my current financial state)
I'm still looking for another recovery service who can give me a lil bit cheaper than the previous price....

so until then, I can't work since I don't have any replacement HD for my comp....
I also can't online often except in mobile (I'm using my PSP to online lately)

one thing for sure that I learn from this.....
MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR DATA NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

cos the price for recover it is far more expensive than the price of the xternal HDs & dvds to back it up...
don't make the same stupid mistake as me, guys T^T *back to crying on the corner of my room

story of light and darkness

practicing the semi-realistic style......
 

 
suddenly it came to my mind because of the conversation with my partner about how our client want us to do some realistic painting for his project.....I'm not really fond with realistic style, that's why I never pratice in it too....why should i practice in something that I don't really like, right? :)
but semi-realistic? I like it ♥ for example the character in the game, they are 3d but still have the 2d aspect in it, more like doll....so I said to myself, why don't I try to develop my style in that?

So I ended up looking for lots of references and paint it.....
my first concept is a girl with dark-gothic cloth....but somehow I keep fail in painting the hair (can't find the suitable hair for her)
the final result came inadvertently.....I was playing with the saturation to find suitable color of the hair and I accidentally move the mouse too far, so the color become solid white.......
the next moment I realize I stunned looking at the image in front of me....that's when I decided to crop the rest of the picture, painting the hair in white ahahhaha......


well.....sometimes the final result is not really exactly like the one we imagine ^_^

n anyway, after some voting in FB about the hair style, I made the black one....looks like snow white eh? ;p

Ginko

Another practice with watercolor brush....I still can get the colors that I really want, sigh.....it's hard to do the blending >_<
This girl were inspired by ginko leaf + paper so I made the hair looks like layers but after coloring it...the layers are gone hha...fail of me -_-|||
anyway I like this girl, perhaps I will draw her again in the future ♥

I miss my heart

Nothing special....this image somehow pop-up in my head this morning, so I quickly sketch it out :)
anyway, drawing this made me want to play with pencil colors again, but my tools are all left at my home T^T
it's a waste if I buy a new one here while I've bunch of them (my friend gave me 3 set of hers since she didn't use it anymore)...it will be a good experience for me to bring a set whenever I go next time :)

Menma from "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" anime...
a good but not really sad anime & the ending song match greatly with its feeling..(the song keeps me cry from time to time -_-a)

My first concept is Menma in rain but then I think it too sad for her...so I change it to flower rain as in the ending clip....
Anyway, I'm trying to make watercolor alike...but it seem failed eh? XD
I'm not really good with manual painting so I try it in digital...but gladly it still turn out like I want ^_^

Hidden mushroom party

This piece was show on Goelali Secret Safari exhibition on June 22-29th, 2011 at Gandaria City.....

this tells about the small creatures, who live under the grass secretly, partying and having fun.

anyway, the colors are not really my usual style because it was a collaboration art with my partner Flutist who seriously love contrast colors hha.....

The girl with black cat cloth is my mascot - Neko~nya..while the lil fairy back there is Flutist' - Mami

Finally finish this one…..this picture is about Raven’s things that connect him to his past.
It took me pretty long because of the bracelet. The bracelet was made together with Faerra and Ven, his old playmate in orphanage. I’m trying to discuss the design together with Fae’s and Ven’s creator, but they pretty busy to handle it…in the end I made my own.
